About BCFIPC

BCFIPC-logoBCFIPC | Who We Are

The BC Falls and Injury Prevention Coalition (BCFIPC) is a multisectoral collaborative of individuals or organization members who have regional or provincial-level representation for an organization, academic institution, professional association and/or community agency whose work has the ability to influence the reduction falls and fall-related injuries among older persons in British Columbia.

Vision

Reduce the rate, frequency and severity of falls among older persons in British Columbia.

Guiding Philosophy

Through networking, education, research and the implementation of evidence-based prevention, BCFIPC members seek to reduce the rate and severity for falls by collaborating to effect change in policy and programming at local, regional and provincial levels. Working as a cohesive network, BCFIPC has the opportunity to maximize the potential of existing programs, collaboratively develop new programs, and effectively allocate resources through reduced duplication of efforts and exchange of resources and information.
