Staying active during the stormy season

On November 20, Dr. Teresa Liu-Ambrose of the Vancouver Coastal Health Falls Prevention Clinic was featured in an article on Global BC on how seniors can stay active during the rainy season.

“Exercises that focus on muscle strength and improving balance have been shown to reduce one’s actual risk of falls by 35 to 50 per cent,” Dr. Liu-Ambrose told Global BC.
